Visiting Old Jackson College/Old Brick Church cemetery near Spring Hill, TN. to find the graves of William and Sarah S. Dunlap!  Directions from Maury Co. Hist. Society: Two miles south of Spring Hill on Hwy. 31, turn east on Denning Road.  Go one mile to road on right leading to University of Tennessee Experimental Farm Station, next to 3131 Brown Rd. (turn into drive to right of house, go thru 2 gates).  Turn into lane beside first house on left.  Follow road beside silo to cemetery in heavily wooded area on outside of fence.  One of the most historic of Maury cemeteries, containing the remains of many illustrious early leaders, is now  almost inaccessible and vandalized.  To see the information on Thomas Franklin Dunlap, Confederate soldier, follow the link to:

Sadly, since I last visited this cemetery in 2001, more headstones have been damaged. Two Confederate officers killed in action are also buried in this cemetery.  Their graves were marked with Confederate flags in July 18, 2002 by Mary Lin Ashley.
